Bono
uses his role as a band member in U2 to further awareness of
the causes he supports. Starting out as a potential guitarist
for the band, Bono eventually became the sweet-sounding vocalist
for U2. While the band as a whole greatly supports the activist
causes they participate in, Bono is the leading force behind
such activities. Through writing effective lyrics and urging
the group to perform at charity concerts such as Live Aid 20,
Bono has been the catalyst behind their humanitarian agenda.
As
U2's front-man, Bono often leads the band in the music they
play, the charities they're involved with, and the products
they endorse. Bono makes sure that the band stays in the right
light in order to receive the credit it needs and to support
and influence those who are fighting for a better future.
